First written mention of the village comes from approximately same period, from 1608. Presently Frička has almost 300 inhabitants. It can be proud of original chapel of archangel Michael dated back to 1829. It is three-piece wooden construction. Part of iconostasis is original. Interior was painted by painter from Prešov J.Wagner. In the early nineties orthodoxy cathedral was built in Frička. Also several original traditional architectures are well-kept. People from wide surroundings very well know the source of tasty mineral water. Because the village was victim of floods in the past, Frička – Polder construction on Kamenec stream was built.
